JAKARTA - Manchester United have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for England winger Jadon Sancho.

According to a report by Sky Sports on Thursday, July 1, the two clubs agreed a transfer fee of £73 million.

The 21-year-old has been United's main target since last year, with British media reporting the English club had bid around 100 million euros (Rp1.72 trillion) at the time, but the deal was not reached.

Sky Sports reports that Sancho and United have agreed a personal agreement, and the player will join after Euro 2020 ends.

Sancho barely featured in England's entire journey to the quarter-finals of Euro 2020. He only played six minutes as a substitute in the 1-0 Group D win over the Czech Republic.

Gareth Southgate's side will face Ukraine in the last eight on Sunday.

Sancho has made more than 100 appearances for Dortmund since joining as a 17-year-old from Manchester City in 2017 and signed a contract extension until 2023 in August last year.

Sancho scored 16 goals and provided 20 assists in 38 games for Dortmund in all competitions in the 2020-21 season. He also helped Dortmund qualify for the Champions League by finishing third in the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to increase United's attacking options to challenge for the Premier League title after finishing in second place last season, 12 points behind champions Manchester City.
