Playing As A Cameo At Euro 2020, What Can Hazard Prove To Real Madrid?

JAKARTA - Eden Hazard's disappointing season continues after the Real Madrid player returned as a substitute in the Belgium-Denmark match at Euro 2020, Thursday, June 17 evening.

The Real Madrid star has missed no less than 33 games through injury this season, continuing to fail to establish himself as a player worthy of his £ 103.5m valuations.

Hazard did manage to get back into shape towards the end of the season to increase his total appearances to 21 in his first season. But his second season in the Spanish capital has not helped convince the club's top brass who remain disillusioned by the 2019 transfer from Chelsea.

Cited from Football Espana, the winger recently admitted to being disappointed with his performances at Madrid since moving from Chelsea. However, he was determined to prove himself.

However, Hazard's efforts were not helped on the international stage. Belgium coach Roberton Martinez put him on the bench in the first two games against Russia and Denmark.

Without Hazard, Belgium comfortably beat Russia in the opener. But they went 1-0 down after 92 seconds against Denmark in an emotional match in Copenhagen last night.

Hazard is working hard to put in a good performance before he returns to the Santiago Bernabeu. But if he's just a cameo at Euro 2020, how can Los Blancos be sure?
