JAKARTA - Pearl Gonzalez will be the next former UFC star to step into the boxing ring, following in the footsteps of Paige VanZant and Rachael Ostovich, who will face each other next month.

Gonzalez, who has an MMA record of 10 wins and 5 losses, fought in the UFC Octagon in 2017 when he lost to Brazil's Poliana Botelho by unanimous decision. After that, the MMA (mix martial arts) promotion company released him.

The 34-year-old will make her debut against Charisa Sigala, having signed with BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships) in April. Sigala made his own debut earlier this year when he lost to Taylor Jenkins. He hopes to bounce back when the duel against Gonzalez on June 26.

In an Instagram post, Gonzalez expressed his joy at joining BKFC.

Gonzalez is the latest former UFC fighter to join BKFC. He followed in the footsteps of Paige VanZant, Rachael Ostovich and Thiago Alves.

VanZant and Ostovich himself will be competing against each other later this year in their 2019 MMA fight rematch.

VanZant is hoping to beat Ostovich once again, after the 27-year-old won their first bout via submission in the second round.
