JAKARTA - All four tickets to the grand final of the 2026 Proliga competition have been secured after the Jakarta Pertamina Enduro (JPE) women's team and the Jakarta Bhayangkara Precision men's team ensured their qualification.
Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi and colleagues from JPE locked the tickets after recording a landslide victory 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-16) in the first match of the last round of the final four which took place at the Jatidiri GOR, Semarang, Central Java, on Friday, 17 Friday 2026, WIB evening.
Bullent Karsioglu as JPE's tactician said that the hot weather on the field made his team's game much slower.
"The weather is hot up to 30 degrees. Hopefully in the grand final the weather will be better so that we can make different strategies than in Semarang," he said in a statement received.
The impressive performance of Bullent Karsioglu's pupils showed their mental readiness in facing the pressure in the final four series. This victory brought JPE following Phonska Plus who had already been waiting for the final match.
The latest results also prove that JPE has a deep squad, especially their success in dampening the deadly duo of Yonkaira Pena and Malwina Smarzek to overcome Popsivo.
Popsivo Polwan coach Darko Dobreskov admitted that his team's performance in the match against Jakarta Pertamina Enduro was far from what he expected.
"This is a performance that is not like usual. The players performed very badly. Maybe we need to put pressure on the players with conditions like today," he said.
JPE actually only needed one point before the match against Popsivo to lock in the grand final ticket. However, the landslide victory made them manage to secure three additional points.
Overall, Megawati and her friends currently collect 12 points or the same as Phonska and sit in second place in the standings. The two teams will meet in the last match of the Semarang round to claim the status of the final four champion.
Before JPE's victory, the defending champion Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi had already secured the last ticket in the men's team category to follow Jakarta LavAni Livin Transmedia. They qualified after defeating Jakarta Garuda Jaya with a score of 3-0 (25-20, 27-25, and 25-19).
