JAKARTA - The French national team secured a 3-1 victory against Colombia in a friendly match at the Northwest Stadium, Maryland, Sunday local time.

In this match, as quoted by Antara, France secured victory thanks to goals from Desire Doue (2) and Marcus Thuram, while Colombia managed to narrow the gap through Jaminton Campaz, according to FIFA's notes.

This is the second consecutive victory for France on the international break tour to the United States after last week defeating the Brazilian national team 2-1.

The match started with both teams launching attacks, but none of the attempts made by France and Colombia were dangerous.

Colombia had a chance through a shot from outside the penalty area by James Rodriguez, but the ball was secured by French goalkeeper Brice Samba.

France could take the lead in the 29th minute through a goal scored by Desire Doue so that the score became 1-0.

Marcus Thuram managed to bring France to double the lead to 2-0 in the 41st minute after Maghnes Akliouche's pass was passed on his header which broke into the Colombian goal.

Doue had the opportunity to score his second goal in this match, but his shot was still secured by Colombian goalkeeper Alvaro Montero.

Entering the second half, France was able to increase their lead to 3-0 after a pass from Marcus Thuram was greeted by Doue's finish in the 56th minute.

Despite being three goals behind, Colombia did not give up and even threatened through Jhon Cordoba's shot, but Samba was able to secure it.

Colombia finally managed to reduce the deficit to 1-3 in the 77th minute through a goal from Jaminton Campaz who took advantage of a pass from Jefferson Lerma.

In the remaining time, Colombia tried to cut the deficit again, but until the end of the match, the score of 3-1 for France's victory remained.
