Drama 7 Goals! Germany Wins Narrowly over Switzerland

JAKARTA - The German national team won a dramatic 4-3 victory over hosts Switzerland in an international friendly match at St. Jakob-Park on Saturday, March 28 early morning WIB.

Florian Wirtz was the star of Die Mannschaft's victory with two goals and two assists, as reported by the official FIFA website.

Quoted by Antara, the match was fierce from the start. Switzerland opened the lead in the 17th minute through Dan Ndoye after taking advantage of a mistake by German defender Nico Schlotterbeck.

Germany then equalized through Jonathan Tah's header. Switzerland regained the lead in the 41st minute through Breel Embolo who took advantage of the German defense's hesitation.

However, the visitors equalized just before halftime through Serge Gnabry's goal, taking advantage of a neat pass from Wirtz. The score became 2-2.

Entering the second half, Wirtz brought Germany back to a 3-2 lead in the 61st minute with a spectacular curved kick from about 18 meters.

Switzerland did not give up and equalized the score to 3-3 in the 82nd minute through an individual action by Joel Monteiro who passed two defenders before scoring.

When the match seemed to be a draw, Wirtz was again the determinant of victory. In the 86th minute, he scored his second goal with a curved shot from the edge of the penalty box that made goalkeeper Gregor Kobel glued, and also secured a 4-3 victory for Germany.

This result is an important capital for Germany, which is included in Group E of the World Cup along with Ecuador, Curacao, and Ivory Coast.

Meanwhile, Switzerland, who are in Group B with Qatar, Canada, and the playoff winner, are also continuing to perfect their preparations for the tournament.
