Kylian Mbappe in Fit Condition, Will Play for Real Madrid Against Real Sociedad

JAKARTA - Alvaro Arbeloa has confirmed that Kylian Mbappe is in good condition and ready to play for Real Madrid in LaLiga against Real Sociedad on Sunday, February 15, 2026, early morning WIB.

Mbappe - who has scored 38 goals this season - has spent two days this week training at the fitness centre, away from his team-mates, raising doubts over the star striker's involvement in the match at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid enter the match just one point behind leaders Barcelona, while their opponents, La Real, are on a 11-game unbeaten streak under new coach Pellegrino Matarazzo.

"Yes, Kylian is fine, he has been training with the group and he is ready for tomorrow's game," Real Madrid manager Arbeloa said in a press conference on Friday, February 13, 2026.

Mbappe has been battling a persistent left knee problem in recent months - missing out on important games, including against Manchester City in the Champions League and playing a limited role in the Spanish Super Cup.

He trained indoors on Wednesday and Thursday (11 & 12 February 2026) at Real Madrid's Valdebebas training ground.

However, the French player joined his teammates outdoors in a training session on Friday, February 13, 2026, ahead of the match against La Real.

Real Madrid have won their last seven LaLiga games, while struggling in other competitions, losing 2-4 at home to Benfica last month and being knocked out of the Champions League group stage.

Los Blancos were also in the headlines this week after announcing that an agreement had been reached with UEFA, ending a five-year dispute over the European Super League.

"The club has issued a statement. I refer you to it. It's a very good deal for football," Arbeloa said.

Meanwhile, there has been speculation about the future of Dani Carvajal, with the club captain playing just 27 minutes under Arbeloa so far.

"With Carvajal, like with everyone, I like to speak with them individually. Every week we sit on the sofa and talk."

"I want to know what they think. He is getting better over time. The person most interested in seeing him at his best is me," Arbeloa said, when asked if he had discussed the situation with Carvajal.
