Figo Called Mancini Ruined His Career At Inter Milan

JAKARTA - Luis Figo reminisced about his career at Inter Milan before deciding to retire. He admitted that he did not always enjoy his time at that time because the relationship with coach Roberto Mancini was not good.

Figo spent four seasons with Inter after leaving Real Madrid in 2005. At the Giuseppe Meazza he won four Serie A titles.

"At first I had a good experience at Inter, then I had a bad experience with him [Mancini]," Figo told Fabio Cannavaro in a conversation on Instagram. Launching MARCA, Wednesday, May 6.

"Mancini is one of the people who embarrassed me the most in my career. I suffered," he continued.

"I am no longer 20 years old, I am 34 or 35 years old. And I have to go through a situation I shouldn't have," the former Portugal captain said.

Figo reiterated his stance that Mancini's management was bad. Hence, they fail to connect on a personal level.

"It's not a matter of playing often or not, at 34 you know it can happen," said Figo.

"To have you warm up for 85 minutes and only play you three minutes to see the changes you make in the game ... that's not normal."
