JAKARTA - The progress of the construction of the Turate Stadium in Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, has now entered the completion stage and is expected to be immediately utilized by the community as a sports and social activity space.

The construction of this field is the result of financial assistance from the South Sulawesi Provincial Government (Pemprov) worth Rp. 15 billion to the Jeneponto Regency Government (Pemkab), of which Rp. 7 billion is specifically used for the construction of the stadium

Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman said that the construction of this field is a form of commitment from the Sulsel Provincial Government in supporting the provision of representative sports facilities for the local community.

"The construction of this field is through provincial financial assistance to the Jeneponto Regency Government together with Mr. Paris Yasir Regent and his staff. We hope that this facility can be used to the fullest by the community," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, January 4.

The existence of this field, he said, is expected to be able to revive the spirit of healthy life and the Anti-Lazy Movement (Anti Mager) in the community, through various activities, such as walking around the field, playing football, as well as other sports and social activities.

The Jeneponto Regency Government also continues to encourage the acceleration of the completion of the construction so that the field can immediately function as a safe, comfortable, and productive public space for the community.

With the completion of the construction of this field, he continued, it is hoped that a community activity center will be created that not only supports health, but also strengthens social interaction and community togetherness in Jeneponto.
