SEA Games 2025 Final Standings: Indonesia Gets 91 Gold Medals

JAKARTA - The biennial multi-branch sports festival of the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand has officially ended. Indonesia locked the second position in the final standings of medal collection, behind the host which was so dominant.

SEA Games 2025 Thailand completed the series of matches on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Indonesia also closed the fight in the event with two additional bronze medals.

Both bronze medals were all obtained from the women's and men's doubles sepak takraw sports. Indonesia also actually competed in open water swimming, but failed to get additional medals.

Overall, Indonesia managed to pocket 91 gold medals, 112 silver medals, and 131 bronze medals. The number far exceeded the target set.

Indonesia departed for Thailand carrying 1,021 athletes with a target of getting 80 gold medals and finishing in third place, a place that was previously occupied in the final standings of the 2023 SEA Games medal tally in Cambodia.

As for the host Thailand, which became the overall champion, it managed to collect a total of 496 medals consisting of 233 gold medals, 154 silver medals, and 109 bronze medals.

Following in third place is Vietnam, which secured 278 medals (87 gold medals, 81 silver medals, and 110 bronze medals). Fourth place belongs to Malaysia with a total of 232 medals (57 gold medals, 57 silver medals, and 118 bronze medals).

The next position belongs to Singapore which received 200 medals (52 gold medals, 61 silver medals, and 87 bronze medals). Next is the Philippines in sixth place which managed to get 275 medals (50 gold medals, 72 silver medals, and 153 bronze medals).

Myanmar is entitled to the seventh place in the final standings with only three gold medals, 21 silver medals, and 46 bronze medals. Then Laos in eighth place with two gold medals, nine silver, and 27 bronze medals.

Next is Brunei Darussalam in ninth position with one gold medal, three silver medals, and five bronze medals. They are followed by Timor Lester in the key that only got one silver medal and seven bronze medals.
