JAKARTA The implementation of the Campus League in the coming year 2026 will be more massive because of the large number of sports (sports) competed and there are plans to add several regional host cities.
Campus League CEO Ryan Gozali said they would expand their reach to more cities and sports next year. Bandung and Surabaya plan to join as additional hosts, with a wider possible expansion.
"In fact, there may be other surprises that we are preparing. We are finalizing around 10 sports for the 2026 season. Futsal, basketball, and badminton will be our pillars," Ryan said at a press conference in Jakarta.

Campus League started its early journey this year by simply competing in futsal sports. Campus League Futsal 2025 is a very important first step in efforts to build a professional campus sports ecosystem in Indonesia.
The inaugural event, known as Season Zero, successfully presented a total of 64 teams from various campuses, with three stages of competition ranging from the city playoffs, regionals in two cities, namely Yogyakarta and Jakarta, to the national round.
Although the limited time limit makes the implementation not ideal, the enthusiasm of the participants and the quality of the match are positive indicators for the development of the next season.
Ryan said that all achievements and victories remain in history as a form of appreciation for the participants even though it is still Season Zero and there will only be a rotating trophy next year.
"Even though it is called Season Zero, champions from the men's and women's sector will remain in history. However, the official trophy will only start next season as a symbol of sustainable tradition," he said.
On the same occasion, the General Chair of the Indonesian Futsal Federation (FFI), Michael Victor Sianipar, considered the presence of the Campus League as a strategic step in strengthening the national futsal ecosystem.
He said the competition between campuses bridged the void that had not been filled, especially the path of player development from the level of students to the professional world. Campus League, according to him, is an important event to identify and develop young talents with high competitive standards.
"Competition like this is an opportunity for us to see firsthand the potential of players who can strengthen the national team. The ultimate goal is simple, namely enriching the Indonesian futsal ecosystem with more competitions and opportunities for athletes to advance to class," said Michael.
