Rizky Ridho's New Contract At Persija, Opportunities For Abroad Open But There Is A Ban On Moving To Local Clubs

Rizky Ridho officially extended his contract with Persija (Instagram/@persija).

JAKARTA - Rizky Ridho officially received a new work contract with Persija Jakarta until the 2028 season. Regarding the contracts and clauses in it, Mohamad Prapanca as Director of Persija revealed the details of the agreed agreement.

In this new contract, Persija also discussed the clause if Ridho got an offer to play at a foreign club or abroad.

Related to that, the Kemayoran Tigers allowed, but the player had to return to Persija if the contract with foreign clubs left before 2028.

"It's not that we let go, the deal will change the age of the contract. So, in that contract, we agree if Rizky Ridho decides to play at another club within a certain period of time, that's what replaces the current contract."

"So, when the contract has been completed, he will return to us," said Prapanca in a statement quoted from Antara, Monday, December 1, 2025.

Not only that, Prapanca also explained that Ridho's new contract - which has 47 appearances for the Indonesian national team - prohibits moving to local clubs in Indonesia as long as they are still under contract with Persija.

"(The transfer to) foreign clubs. In the agreement, he will not move to a local club (Indonesia) as long as his contract (is enforced)," said Prapanca.

Furthermore, Prapanca said the reason Ridho wanted to continue his collaboration with Persija was because the 24-year-old centre-back found comfort.

He also wants to bring Persija back to winning after the last time in 2018.

"In my opinion, he feels that he is part of the Persija family. He is quite comfortable with what we are doing to this day, of course with Persija's openness for the development of Rizky Ridho himself in the future,"

"I also believe Rizky Ridho consciously and without coercion any party he chooses to stay with Persija," said Prapanca.

Rizky Ridho was brought in by Persebaya Surabaya in April 2023. Since then, he has performed 72 times for the capital's pride team. From his total appearance, he has scored three goals and two assists.
