Police Issue League 1 And 2 Crowd Permits No Later Than May 27

JAKARTA - Assistant Chief of Police Operations Irjen Polisi Imam Sugianto said that the National Police will issue a crowd permit for the 2021-2022 Liga 1 and 2 Indonesia competitions no later than May 27.

"Currently there are still needs to be completed including requirements and recommendations, especially for the region will be the organizer of League 1 and League 2," imam said after attending a coordination meeting led by Minister zainudin Amali at the Kemenpora Building, Jakarta, Monday.

Imam continued, the process of issuing crowd permits is still ongoing and the Police themselves have received a crowd permit application from PT Liga Indonesia Baru since before the fast.

According to the man who once served as an aide to the President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), the implementation of Liga 1 and Liga 2 can refer to the 2021 Menpora Cup preseason tournament which took place march 21-April 25.

Piala Menpora is considered by the National Police to be successful in terms of the implementation and prevention of COVID-19. However, for League 1 and League 2, Imam warned that more effort is needed due to longer execution times.

"There has to be an increase in capacity. So we hope the league can be managed well. Health protocols are enforced so that the league runs successfully," Imam added.

Meanwhile, PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan mentioned that the 2021-2022 Liga 1 season is planned to be held starting on July 3-7 and is projected to be completed in March 2022.

For Liga 1 will take place centrally in Java Island and implemented in full league format, home-away. The 2021 Liga 2 season rolls on 14 days after the start of League 1 and runs until December.

"For League 2 we will meet again. The plan is that there are four areas that host such as Palembang, Riau, South Tangerang and so forth," said Iriawan reported by Antara.

The man commonly called Iwan Bule also ensured that his side will make the 2021 Menpora Cup as a benchmark for the implementation of Liga 1 and Liga 2 last season.

"We have experience in the Menpora Cup and just fix what needs to be improved. Hopefully everything is under control so that the league can roll as expected," iriawan concluded.
