Jake Paul Confident In Beating Anthony Joshua

JAKARTA Jake Paul is very confident that he can beat former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (AJ) twice in their fight in the middle of next month in Miami, United States.

"He's one of the best heavyweight boxers ever, but I'm sure fighting smaller boxers is often more difficult for heavyweights," Paul said.

Paul is a newcomer and has never fought top heavyweight fighters like Joshua. Since plunging into boxing, he has run a total of 13 matches.

Of that number, he lost once against Tommy Fury. The rest, he won seven knockouts (KO) and went through a decision, but the names that were stopped were small compared to Joshua.

Paul said that as a fighter who has a smaller physical position, he certainly has an advantage, especially regarding speed, so Joshua will definitely have difficulty managing it.

"I know I can beat him, score points, and make this a great fight. Don't respect me because I want to fight Joshua, but because I won," he said.

Paul had his last match last June when he won Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. On the other hand, Joshua has not dueled since losing against Daniel Dubois in September last year.

Joshua has suffered a total of four defeats in his career. Two of the other three defeats he suffered against world champion Oleksandr Usyk and one other match versus Andy Ruiz.
