JAKARTA Indonesia only sent five representatives to the 2025 Japanese Kumamoto Masters which took place this week.

The Super 500 BWF level tournament will be held on November 11-16, 2025 at the Prefectural Gymnasium, Osaka, Japan. The five Indonesian representatives who participated were spread across the men's singles, women's singles, and women's doubles.

From the men's singles sector, two names were sent, namely Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah and Alwi Farhan. The first name will start the journey from the qualifying round against Koo Takahashi from Japan.

Alwi will also meet the Japanese representatives in the first round of the tournament. The 2023 junior world champion who will compete as eighth seed will be tested by Takuma Obayashi.

From the women's singles, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi were sent. Gregoria has so far not been in the best form because she is often disturbed by vertigo.

Ni Kadek Dhinda will make her debut in the Super 500 tournament after she previously managed to reach the semifinals of the Korea Masters 2-125 last week, which is also her debut at the Super 300 level.

Gregoria as the fourth seed will meet Hung Yi-Ting from China Taipei in the first half, while Ni Kadek Dhinda will face sixth seed Busanan Ongbamrungphan from Thailand.

Indonesia's last representative is Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti. This pair will be tested by representatives of Japan, Sayaka Hirota/Haruna Konishi.
