Kubrat Pulev Is Very Open To Dealing With Moses Ituma

JAKARTA Kubrat Pulev opens the opportunity to defend the WBA regular heavyweight world title against young British star Moses Ituma.

John Wirt, Pulev's promoter, said that his client was very open to the potential duel, but it's just not going to happen in the near future.

"He (Pulev) has always accepted all the challenges of his career. He will fight Moses if the conditions are appropriate," said Wirt as quoted by Sky Sport.

Pulev is scheduled to first board the ring in Dubai in December 2025 to face Russian boxer Murat Gassiev in a match to defend his voluntary title.

Previously, the WBA had ordered a mandatory duel between Pulev and Ituma. Both parties have also been given the opportunity to negotiate.

"Pulev and Ituma are given a 30-day negotiation period which will end on November 14, 2025," the WBA statement said.

Pulev is known as one of the veteran challengers in the heavyweights. He once challenged Wladimir Klitschko for an integrated world title in 2014 and appeared brave against Anthony Joshua in 2020.

Pulev last fought in 2024, when he defeated Mahmoud Charr to win the WBA regular championship belt he is now holding.

Meanwhile, Moses Ituma is stealing the attention of the boxing world thanks to his impressive performance. In a short period of time, he shot up to the ranks of the heavyweight elite.

Ituma stole the show while beating Demsey McKean in a party supporting the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk duel a year ago.

In August 2025, Ituma again scored a sensation by overthrowing Dillian Whyte in just one round, a victory that immediately catapulted it into the competition for world titles.

If the Pulev vs Ituma duel really materializes, the fight will be an interesting clash between youth experience and ambition, and could be a major stepping stone for Ituma on the way to true world champion status.
