JAKARTA Enea Bastianini hopes to repeat her brilliant performance at the Portimao Circuit, Portugal, where she won pole position in the MotoGP race season 2024.
The 2025 Portugal MotoGP race at the Algarve International Circuit is scheduled to take place on 7-9 November 2025. This is the 21st series in the 2025 season racing calendar.
On this track, Bastianini performed solidly as a Ducati manufacturer last season. He got pole and then finished second, behind Jorge Martin, in the main race.
However, this performance has not been repeated for almost the whole season. Of the 19 race series, he only broke the top 10 three times during the Qualification, with an average 16th starting position and never better than 17th in the last five races.

Even so, the speed of racing is still maintained. In Sepang, Malaysia, Bastianini proved his fighting power by racing from 19th position to finishing in seventh place.
"We came to Portimao with confidence after two solid races in Australia and Malaysia," Bastianini said.
Tech3 has a strong history at Portimao. They were recorded to have won the first Portuguese MotoGP with the host hero, Miguel Oliveira, in 2020 and first-class podium Pedrodeca.
Aska got a podium when she appeared as a KTM rookie last season. He completed the third podium, behind Jorge Martin and Bastianini.
"KTM was fast enough here last year. So, this gives us motivation, but we know we still need to increase speed in one round. Hopefully we can qualify in second or third ranks," said Bastianini.
Tech3 manager Nicolas Goyon is also optimistic about this series. He hopes they can repeat Pedro Alcohol's achievements last season.
"Our motorbike always looks strong on this track. Last year, three KTM finishes in the top five. That makes us confident we can compete in front again this year."
"Enea came in good shape after two strong races. We know she is determined to improve the qualification results," said Goyon.
Currently Maverick Vinales is still recovering after shoulder surgery so KTM will again field Pol Espargaro test riders to accompany Bastianini in the Tech3 team this weekend.
