Nova Arianto's Message To The U-17 Indonesian National Team Ahead Of The 2025 U-17 World Cup

The U-17 Indonesian national team has increased in three test matches before appearing in the 2025 U-17 Duia Cup (doc. Indonesian national team).

JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team coach, Nova Arianto, conveyed a message for his squad after undergoing three series of test matches. The agenda is a preparation ahead of appearing at the 2025 U-17 World Cup in Qatar.

Panama U-17 is the last opponent facing the U-17 Indonesian national team on a trial agenda. The match, which took place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, ended in a 1-1 score.

Prior to the match against Panama, Zahaby Gholy and his friends lost 1-2 to Paraguay U-17 and drew 0-0 against Ivory Coast U-17.

Nova highlighted hopes about improving the quality of the team's game after undergoing three warm-up matches in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

"What is certain is that in these three matches we have learned a lot, yes. Once again the opponents we face from Paraguay, Ivory Coast, and Panama who are in very good posture."

"So, the level of the game is also very good. I think we have learned a lot in these three trials. I hope the players can be better prepared later in the 2025 U-17 World Cup," said Nova Arianto from an official statement quoted on Friday, October 31, 2025.

After this series of trials, Nova Arianto and his team will go straight to Qatar, which is the location for the 2025 U-17 World Cup. Ahead of the crucial match, Nova emphasized that all players must be confident to give the best performance.

"I said the issue of mentality, once again, players must be brave and must believe we came to Qatar. We can give our best and the best results," said the coach.

At the 2025 U-17 World Cup, the U-17 Indonesian national team will first meet Zambia U-17 in the first match on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Furthermore, there is Brazil U-17 which will be the opponent on Friday, November 7, 2025. In the last match, the U-17 Indonesian national team will face Honduras U-17 on Monday, November 10, 2025.

To be able to qualify from the group stage, the U-17 Indonesian national team must be able to occupy the top two of the standings. Meanwhile, there are only eight of the best third-placed teams who will move to the knockout stages.
