Manisa BBSK Officially Ends Contract With Megawati Hanggestri

Megawati Hanggetri ended the collaboration with Manisa BBSK (Instagram/@megawatihangestrip).

JAKARTA - Shocking news came from the Indonesian women's volleyball player, Megawati Hanggestri. He is now confirmed to no longer strengthen the Turkish club, Manisa BBSK. the two parties have agreed to terminate the work contract.

The latest information regarding the termination of the cooperation contract was announced by Manisa BBSK through social media uploads on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. In a statement, Manisa said the termination of the contract occurred after a mutual agreement was made.

"The volleyball club player for our team A, Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi, returns to his home country, Indonesia, as part of the Livoli tournament Main Division 2025/2026, according to his contract."

"Although he is required to rejoin our team three days after the tournament ends as stated in his contract, the player failed to fulfill his obligations."

"In a joint discussion, the player stated that he did not want to return to Turkey because of the busy schedule of the Indonesian National Team during the competition season and requested that his contract be terminated," said Manisa BBSK's statement quoted Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Previously, Megawati competed in the Livoli 2025 event which ended on October 19, 2025. However, Megawati did not return to Turkey on October 22, 2025. As a result, Manisa cut off the cooperation.

After playing at Livoli, Megawati has also been waiting for the Indonesian Women's Volleyball National Team to prepare for the 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok, Thailand.

For that agenda, the players of the Indonesian Women's Volleyball National Team are scheduled to gather in Sentul on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

"This process was evaluated for the best of our club, it was decided that the transfer would not be profitable in this situation, and the contract ended together on October 23, 2025, without any compensation," said Manisa BBSK.

Even so, the second-level promotion club of the Turkish Volleyball League still expressed its appreciation to Indonesian volleyball fans.

"We sincerely thank Indonesian volleyball fans and our colleagues for their interest, understanding and support during this process. With respect, we convey this to the public," the statement concluded.
