In Order To Survive, Barcelona Must Sell Griezmann

JAKARTA - Antoine Griezmann is one of the players who has the opportunity to leave Barcelona this summer. Not because of his disappointing performance, but because Blaugarana needed funding.

After failing in the Champions League and La Liga, Barcelona put in a number of plans for the 2021/22 season. They realize that the quality of the squad must be improved. However, the lack of resources in the team meant that they had to make some adjustments.

As such, a number of players have been allocated to generate sales and revenue when the transfer window opens. MARCA launched several names of players who will leave Camp Nou.

Most of the names on the list aren't all that surprising and are players who haven't performed as much or performed as well as expected. For example, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo, Matheus Fernandes and Martin Braithwaite.

However, the future of the France international at Camp Nou depends on Lionel Messi's situation. If Messi leaves, the club might choose to keep Griezmann.

The reason is clear, Barca will not spend much more money to pay Messi's salary. In addition, the team needs the presence of experienced players in the dressing room.
