JAKARTA - Indonesian racer Mario Suryo Aji will start the 2025 Japan Moto2 race from his 25th position after undergoing a qualifying session at the Motegi Circuit, Saturday.

Mario, who strengthens Honda Team Asia, must first follow the first qualification (Q1). His time record of 1 minute 49.209 seconds in the second round had put him in 10th position.

However, until the session ended, the racer from Magetan was stuck in 11th place. These results made Mario fail to penetrate the top four Q1 who were entitled to qualify for Q2 and had to settle for the start from the ninth row.

In Sunday's (28/9) race, he will start close to Moto2 2024 runners-up Aron Canet and former MotoGP racer Darryn Binder.
