US Trencin Gives Marselino The Opportunity To Adapt

JAKARTA US Trencin will give Marselino Ferdinand the opportunity to adapt when he is officially dependent on the club as a loan player from Oxford United.

Marselino has been confirmed to defend Trencin for the next season. However, currently the player who was assisted by Persebaya Surabaya has not yet defended the Slovak team.

US Sports Director Trencin Andrej Zakir ensured that they would not immediately place a heavy burden on the shoulders of the 21-year-old player belonging to the Indonesian national team.

"We can't expect him too much in the first few weeks. It all depends on how he takes advantage of the opportunity given," Andrej said.

Marselino is the second Indonesian player to defend Trencin. He followed in the footsteps of Witan Sulaeman who had had regular playing time there in 2022.

Until now, Marselino has not been included in the Trencin squad because the club is still trying to complete the administration of the move. He is also likely to be training with the team in the next few days.

"In the next few days the administrative formality [Marselino Ferdinand's move] must be completed and he will join the team," said Andrej.

Marselino started his journey in Europe by defending Belgian club KMSK Deinze. He then moved to Oxford United, but still rarely got playing minutes.

"He is an extraordinary talent in Indonesian and Asian football. We were already interested in him even before he was in Belgium. His development in recent years has not been ideal. We will try to help him develop again," said Andrej.
