GSC 2025 Enlivened By Three Indonesian National Team Legends

JAKARTA Three Indonesian national team legends were also present and enlivened the 2025 Geothermal Soccer Championship (GSC) which was initiated by the Indonesian Soccer Geothermal (GSI) team in collaboration with On Us Asia.

The tournament lasted two days, 30 and 31 August 2025. The three Indonesian national team legends invited were Ilham Jayakesuma, Markus Harison, and Robbi Darwis.

They were brought in to fill an entertainment match that brought together the Geothermal All Star against the Media All Star, Trisakti University against the Jakarta Drilling Society, and the Government All Star in conflict with the All Star Geothermal Association.

The 2025 Geothermal Soccer Championship (GSC) title was brought home by IKPT. They won after defeating Apexindo with a final score of 4-0 in the final which took place at ASIOP Stadium, East Jakarta.

This victory crowned IKPT as the first winner of the 2025 Geothermal Soccer Championship. Apexindo had to settle for second place, while third place belonged to PT Duta Hita Jaya after defeating PT Pratama Galuh Perkasa.

The handover of the trophy was carried out directly by the Head of Representatives from the Indonesian Geothermal Association (API), Julfi Hadi, who in his remarks gave high appreciation for the holding of this inaugural tournament.

"In the future, it can be done by presenting a more diverse age category so that the tournament is not only lively, but also plays a role in producing young talents around the geothermal working area," he said.

The chairman of the Indonesian Geothermal Soccer (GSI),LAH Hakhama, also expressed his gratitude to all parties who have supported, including geothermal associations, sponsors, and participants.

"GSI is committed to continuing to expand cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, PSSI, and geothermal stakeholders in developing sustainable football events and searching for and fostering talented young players," he said.

The excitement of this tournament is even more complete with the awarding of a number of special awards. PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy was named Team Fair Play, while the best supporters' title fell to PT Geo Dipa Energi.

As a form of appreciation for the support of various parties, the Chairman of GSI and the team also handed over the award plaque to sponsors who have played an important role in the success of organizing this tournament.

GSC 2025 brings a message that sports, especially football, can be an effective means to strengthen togetherness between stakeholders, strengthen collaboration, as well as become a medium for socializing geothermal development in Indonesia.

The hope is that this spirit of togetherness can accelerate investment in clean energy and strengthen Indonesia's position as one of the leading countries in the use of sustainable geothermal energy.
