Persib Still Looking For Ritme Games Entering The Third Week Of The Super League

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung has played two matches in the 2025/2026 Super League. However, from the two matches, Maung Bandung is still relatively inconsistent because he is still looking for the rhythm of the game.

This was stated by Persib Bandung coach, Bojan Hodak. According to the Croatian coach, a number of players have shown fantastic performances, but in other matches there are still shortcomings.

"So in some matches they (players) look fantastic, but in some matches there is also less. This is only a matter of consistency and as time goes on, it will improve," said Bojan Hodak, quoted from the club's official website Thursday, August 21, 2025.

From the two matches at the start of the 2025/2026 Super League season, Maung Bandung was only able to collect three points. In the inaugural match, Persib appeared convincing with a 2-0 win over Semen Padang.

However, surprisingly the last two seasons League 1 champion even lost 1-2 to the promotion team, Persijap Jepara, in the second match.

The Croatian coach also highlighted the way his team conceded against Persijap. According to him, the two opponents' goals occurred because of a fundamental mistake that the Persib-class team should not have made.

"If we want to win, we can't let that happen. The second goal (against) was stupidity, I can't explain how stupid we were to concede," he said.

The defeat to Persijap could be an early warning for Persib that the competition this season is much tighter than before.
