2025 World Championship Draw Results: Women's Sector Is On The Steamed Path

JAKARTA Indonesia's singles and women's doubles are on a very steep track after the BWF officially released the results of the 2025 World Championships or BWF World Championship draw.

The draw for the prestigious event was officially released by the International Badminton Federation (BWF) on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, evening WIB. Indonesia has 12 representatives who will appear in the event.

From the women's singles number, Indonesia will send Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusuma Wardani to the event which will take place on August 25-31, 2025 at the Adidas Arena, Paris, France.

Gregoria Mariska Tunjung started the journey by facing Petra Maixnerova from the Czech Republic. However, the owner of the Olympic bronze medal was in the top chart with first seed An Se-young from South Korea.

Putri Kusuma Wardani will also go through a very tough road. She occupies the bottom chart with second seed Wang Zhi Yi (China) and will start the journey against Lo Sin Yan Happy from Hong Kong.

From the women's doubles number, the pair Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi and Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti both got an empty draw in the round of 64.

However, if he passes the round of 32, then Febriana/Amallia will challenge fourth seed Baek Ha-na/Lee So-hee (South Korea) and Lanny/Fadia to meet second seed Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan (Malaysia).

Then from the men's singles sector, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting will start the step by fighting the host representatives Toma Junior Popov, Jonatan Christie in conflict with Matthias Kicklitz (Germany), and Alwi Farhan being challenged by Nguyen Hai Dang from Vietnam.

As for the double sector, the majority of Indonesian representatives occupy the seed so that they get an empty draw in the first round, except for the mixed doubles pair Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Minister.

Men's doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, who is the fourth seed, will wait for the winner between Hung Kei Chun/Lui Chun Wai (Hong Kong) and Kevin Lee/Ty Alexander Lindeman (Canada) in the round of 32.

Furthermore, the pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana also got an empty draw and waited for the winner from Eloi Adam/Leo Rossi (France) against Rory Easton/Alex Green (England).

Meanwhile, the Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad pair Reza Pahlevi Isfahani will face Ivan Rusev/Iliyan Stoynov (Bulgaria) or Rasmus Kjaer/Frederik Sogaard (Denmark).

In the mixed doubles, Rinov/Pitha had to fight from the round of 64 against Ming Che Lu/Hung En-Tzu (China Taipei). Another story with Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu who occupies the 11th seed.

The pair got an empty draw in the first half so they just waited for the winner between Mihajlo Tomic/Andjela Vitman (Serbia) and Mysha Zilberman/Svetlana Zilberman (Israel).
