YOGYAKARTA Son Heung-Min's transfer value to Los Angeles FC (LAFC) is the most expensive in the Major League Soccer/MLS competition. So, how much money did LAFC spend to bring Son from Tottenham Hotspur?

Son Heung-Min officially left Tottenham Hostpur this summer. After 10 years in the cast of The Lilywhites, the South Korean star player moved to Los Angeles FC, one of Major League Soccer's constant content.

Son was introduced as a new LAFC player on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the BMO Stadium, California, United States.

Based on the news from the NY Times, Son Heung-Min's move to LAFC managed to break the record for transfers in the United States' most elite football competition.

Quoted from the official MLS website, the value of Son Heung-Min's transfer to Los Angeles FC reached 26.5 million US dollars (around 432.8 billion rupiah).

"We are proud that he chose Los Angeles for the next chapter of his extraordinary career," John continued.

Son's transfer value is slightly higher than Emmanuel Latte Lath. He was brought in by Atlanta United from Middlesbourg (British League) in February 2025, with a value of 22 million US dollars (around Rp312 billion).

Please note, Latte Lath is a player from the Ivory Coast national team. Since the beginning of the 2025 season, he has recorded six goals in 20 appearances with Atalanta.
