Fajar/Rian Targeted To Bring The 2025 World Championship Trophy

Fajar Afian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto got the target of winning the 2025 World Championship (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA Men's doubles Fajar Afian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto are targeted to bring home the title from the 2025 World Championship which will take place this month.

The prestigious tournament will take place on August 25-31, 2025 at Adidas Arena, Paris, France. Indonesia has 11 representatives who will appear there, including Fajar/Rian.

The men's doubles coach, Antonius Budi Ariantho, has set a high target for Fajar/Rian, who will then be tested with a new partner in two tournaments in September 2025.

"Although the next tournament is professionally separated, the target is to win whoever the partner is," said Anton at the Cipayung PBSI National Training Center on Wednesday, August 7, 2025.

Fajar will have a duet with Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Rian to partner with Yeremia Rambitan after they appear at the 2025 World Championships.

The Fajar/Fikri pair previously played together in Japan and the 2025 China Open in July 2025. The combination resulted in the title of the Super 1000 China Open 2025.

The combination between the two pairs will be registered for the Super 750 China Masters (16-21 September 2025) and Super 500 Korea Open (23-28 September 2025).

"I have to look at the results of these two tournaments, then we can talk about the possibility that these two pairs will be patented or not," said Anton.

Fajar/Rian are one of three men's doubles who will play in the 2025 World Championships. They participated with Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani and Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana.

Men's doubles was the last contributor to Indonesia's title from this event in 2019 through veteran Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan.
