Manchester United Opens The Door For The Departure Of Rasmus Hojlund

JAKARTA - Manchester United is open to offers from clubs looking to recruit Rasmus Hojlund.

The Red Devils are still looking for a new striker and have expressed interest in signing Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and totaling Watkins from Aston Villa.

The arrival of the new striker will certainly make it difficult for the Danish player to position. Even so, Hojlund - who has a three-year contract remaining - is determined to stay and fight for his place at Old Trafford.

After scoring in a 4-1 win over Bournemouth in Chicago in the middle of last week, Hojlund reiterated his desire to stay with Manchester United's project.

"I think the most important thing for me is to keep working hard and stay focused, then of course we'll see.

"I think my plan is very clear, namely to defend and fight for my position, whatever happens," Hojlund said.

It's just that, according to ESPN, club officials will listen to the offer to get the 22-year-old, which is imported from Atalanta for an initial price of 64 million pounds by 2025.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim declined to comment much on Hojlund's future.

Apart from that, Manchester United is actually confident that they will be able to spend money on strikers number 9 without having to release players in this transfer market.

Sesko and Watkins are the main targets, but attempts to sign Sesko have been hampered by interest from Newcastle United, which has made an official offer worth around 70 million pounds.

The Red Devils have also contacted RB Leipzig and discussions are still ongoing. Interestingly, the Bundesliga club is one of a number of clubs that expressed interest in Hojlund, who only scored four goals in the 2024/2025 Premier League season.

The Danish has also been linked with Serie A clubs, such as Napoli and Juventus.
