Indonesian Women's Volleyball Team In SEA V League 2025: Aiming For First Title

The Indonesian Women's Volleyball Team will fight in the 2025 SEA V League (doc. PBVSI).

JAKARTA The National Team (Timnas) of the Indonesian Women's Volleyball will undergo the first leg of the 2025 SEA V League in Thailand. The Garuda Pertiwi squad is also preparing for this important event.

The first leg match is scheduled to take place on August 1-3, 2025 at Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. In total there are four countries that take part in the tournaments of Southeast Asian countries.

The 2025 SEA V League will be part of the qualification for the AVC Nations Cup next year. Indonesia will compete with the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand.

The opportunity to go to the AVC Nations Cup owned by Indonesia is very large because currently Thailand has confirmed one automatic ticket through the ranking route.

Thus, the competition to win the remaining two tickets faced by Indonesia remains against Vietnam and the Philippines. On paper, Indonesia should be able to compete and qualify.

Indonesia will start the journey of the first leg of the 2025 SEA V League against Vietnam. The match is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 13.30 WIB.

The Garuda Pertiwi squad will next host Thailand. The match will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 17.00 WIB.

Indonesia's journey was then closed against the Philippines on Sunday, August 3, 2025. The clash will take place starting at 13.30 WIB.

Megawati Hengestri Pertiwi and friends then underwent the second leg which will be held in Ninh Binh, Vietnam, from 8 to 10 August 2025.

Meanwhile, Indonesia has not won the SEA V League since its first implementation in 2019.

So far, the best journey of the Indonesian Women's Volleyball national team has only been runners-up in two consecutive editions, namely 2019 and 2022.

Thailand holds a record by winning the SEA V League since its first edition, both in the first and second legs.
