China Open 2025: Patience/Reza And Fajar/Fikri Clash In Round Of 16

Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri will meet Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani in the last 16 of the China Open 2025 (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA Men's doubles Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri are certain to clash in the second round of the 2025 China Open.

The two compact pairs qualified for the second round of the BWF Super 1000 level event after both stopped their opponents in two straight games on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

Patience/Reza, seventh seed in the tournament, secured tickets after stopping Chen Zhi Yi/Presley Smith from the United States with the final score 21-9 and 21-14.

As for Fajar/Fhik, they continued their journey after winning with a score of 21-11 and 21-10 against the Malaysian pair, Choong Hon Jian/Muhammad Haikal.

This is the second time in a row the two pairs have faced each other on the BWF World Tour stage. Previously, they clashed in the first round of the Japan Open 2025 last week.

At that time, Fajar/Fikri managed to win two straight games and continued their debut journey as a couple in international events to the quarter-finals.
