The results of the draw for the Fourth Round of Qualification for the 2026 World Cup (doc. AFC).

JAKARTA - The draw for the Fourth Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification has been completed in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Six teams that have ambitions to qualify for the 2026 World Cup have been divided into two groups.

Hosts Qatar will face the United Arab Emirates and Oman in Group A, with matches to be played in a full-time competition format (round-robin) and scheduled for October 8-14, 2025.

Hosts of Group B, Saudi Arabia, will be accompanied by Iraq and Indonesia.

The draw was also carried out to determine the knockout team, with Group A runners-up hosting the first leg.

Only the top teams from each group will get tickets to the 2026 World Cup finals.

The second-ranked team from both groups will face off in a two-legged match on 13 and 18 November 2025.

This knockout round will determine representatives for the intercontinental playoffs, which offer only one ticket to the 2026 World Cup

Qatar, who is determined to qualify for the 2026 World Cup on the basis of its achievements after debuting as host in 2022, advanced to the Fourth Round after finishing in fourth place in Group A of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Third Round.

The United Arab Emirates, which is eyeing a second appearance at the World Cup after their debut in the 1990s edition, finished third in Group A.

Meanwhile, Oman, who hopes to appear for his debut at the World Cup, is in fourth place in Group B.

Saudi Arabia, which is eyeing a third appearance in a row and the seventh total time in the World Cup, had to go through the Fourth Round after finishing third in Group C in the Third Round.

Iraq, which only appeared in the World Cup in 1986, advanced to the Fourth Round after finishing third in Group B.

Finally, the Indonesian national team, which previously appeared in the World Cup in the 1938 edition, finished fourth in Group C in the Third Round.

Meanwhile, six teams from Asia have been confirmed to get tickets to the 2026 World Cup finals, namely Australia, Japan, Jordan, South Korea, Iran, and Uzbekistan.
