Tottenham Hotspur is ready to accept an offer for Son Heung-min this summer amid interest from Saudi Arabia's Pro League clubs and Major League Soccer (MLS).

Mick Brown, who has also served as chief scout for Manchester United and Sunderland and still has a good connection at his old clubs, exclusively told Football Insider that Thomas Frank is planning a Spurs trip without the 33-year-old.

Mohammed Kudus' recruitment, along with interest in players like Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze, will allow Spurs to move in a new direction.

This happened after Brown said in February 2025 that Tottenham was worried about Son's fitness and age as work had begun to identify his successor.

Brown explained that he may be slowing down and losing his pace, which previously made him a dangerous choice in the Spurs attack line.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed in June 2025 that Son has the opportunity to leave Tottenham this summer as Spurs see it as the ideal opportunity to get cash from the South Korean international.

Tottenham plans to accept Son's offer. Brown, who has a wealth of experience in recruiting top players after more than a decade at Manchester United during their most successful period, insists that the time has come for all parties to move if any club is interested in making an offer.

"Tottenham is ready to release Son this summer. If you look at the business they are doing, or try to do, it looks like it will pave the way for all parties to move and go in a new direction."

"Kudus has come from West Ham. They (Spurs) are eyeing names like Gibbs-White and Eze," he said.

Although both recruited and targeted players do not play in the same position as Son, manager Thomas Frank clearly wants to strengthen his attacking options and feels he can replace what Son is doing.

"I think it's time for everyone to move. He (Son) played very well at Tottenham. He's a legend there, but time keeps chasing everyone."

"There is interest from Saudi Arabia and MLS, that's the option available. If there is a reasonable offer for Spurs, I'm sure they will be ready to let it go. He will be open to exploring new opportunities," Brown said.

In addition, Spurs are also approaching Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo's transfer. The forward continues to consider Son's alternative options to lead Frank's side into a new season.

There is also the name Yoane Wissa, which Tottenham is still considering. Wissa was once Frank's mainstay while at Brentford.

The problem is, Brentford still doesn't want to sell Wissa and Mbeumo. The Bees are ready to do everything in their efforts to keep the two players.

At least, Brentford can maintain one of them in the middle of a volatile transfer window.
