SEA V League 2025 Results: Strictly Fighting, Indonesia Beats Vietnam 3-2

The Indonesian Volleyball Team succeeded in defeating Vietnam's resistance in the third match of the 2025 SEA V League (doc. PBVSI).

JAKARTA - Indonesia won against Vietnam in the first three legs of the 2025 SEA V League in Candon, Ilocus Sur, Philippines, Saturday, July 12, 2025, afternoon WIB.

The Red-White squad fought tight up to five sets with a final score of 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 22-25, and 15-8).

Indonesia actually played comfortably in the first set. They can turn things around after falling behind in the early points and leaving Vietnam at a far margin.

Unfortunately, in the second set, Vietnam has found a solution to break various Indonesian attacks as well as score points.

The Garuda squad was only allowed to get closer, but failed to overtake Vietnam's numbers.

In the third set, Indonesia will rise again. They were able to put Vietnam under pressure until they were finally able to secure the set with a score of 25-21.

However, this mentality was not maintained in the fourth set. Vietnam, who was motivated to equalize, appeared more trending despite being left behind at the start of the set.

The 2-2 score in the fifth set made the situation very tense. Luckily, Indonesia appeared more loose so that they were able to keep their distance until they finally won the match.

This time, Boy Arnez Arabi became the top scorer for Indonesia with 26 points, 23 of them from attacks. Rivan Nurmulki is in second place with 23 points.

An additional two points from the match against Vietnam made Indonesia in third place with a collection of five points from three matches.

The Red-White team is one point clear of Thailand which is in second place and two points from Vietnam which is at the top of the standings.

Indonesia still has one more match against the Philippines on Sunday, July 13, 2025. That match will be an opportunity to finish in the last two of the first legs of the 2025 SEA V League.
