4 Direct Diaspora Starter Players, Indonesian Women's National Team Challenges Kyrgyzstan In 2026 Asian Cup Qualification

TANGERANG The Indonesian women's national team coach, Satoru Mochizuki, immediately fielded four new diaspora players in the inaugural match of Group D of the 2026 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers against Kyrgyzstan at the Indomilk Arena, Tangerang Regency, Sunday, July 29 evening.

The four diaspora players are Iris Joska de Rouw (goalkeeper), Emily Julia Nahon (bek), Felicia Victoria de Zeeuw (gedang), and Isa Guusje Warps (attacker).

This match is very important for the Garuda Pertiwi team, as only group winners are entitled to advance to the finals in Australia in 2026. Group D itself is inhabited by Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, and Taiwan.

"We want to start strong and optimistic with the best composition," Mochizuki said at a press conference before the match, quoted from Antara.

The Indonesian women's national team came with unbeaten capital in the last seven matches (4 wins, 3 draws), including a 0-0 draw against Bangladesh last May. On the other hand, Kyrgyzstan is in an unconvincing performance with seven consecutive defeats.

Meanwhile, Taiwan temporarily led the Group D standings after beating Pakistan with a landslide score of 8-0 in the opening match at the same location.

Under the bar, Mochizuki entrusted the goalkeeper position to Iris de Rouw. The defense line is filled by Emily Nahon, Gea Yumanda, Zahra Muzdalifah, and the captain Safira Ika Putri.

Felicia de Zeeuw appeared in midfield with Cludia Scheunemann, Rosdilah Siti, and Viny Silfianus. On the front lines, the duet of Sheva Badminton and Isa Warps became the mainstay of the attack.
