JAKARTA – As many as 270 athletes participated in the 2025 Menpora Cup sepak takraw national selection (seleknas) at the GBK Arena, Senayan, Jakarta, in preparation for the Thailand SEA Games later this year.
Participants who participated in this seleknas came from various regions, clubs, and sports centers spread across 14 provinces. There were four categories competed, namely the men's team event, the women's team event, the men's double event, and the women's double event.
This sepak takraw seleknas was welcomed by the young athlete of PPOP Jakarta, Ananda Danial Zamora. The 16-year-old man will maximize the opportunity as best as possible.
"This is a great experience for me, meeting many other great players. Of course the seleknas will be a very valuable lesson, very important to increase flying hours," said Nanda.

According to him, the national selection is a prestigious event as well as measuring one's abilities. Nanda hopes to pass the national selection and enter the national training camp (pelatnas).
"I really want to be able to compete at the national level, which can ultimately defend Indonesia at the SEA Games," said Nanda.
Although still in the young age category, Nanda has shown maturity in the game and mentality of competing. On the first day of the national selection, he was able to bring PPOP Jakarta to a 2-0 victory over Central Sulawesi.
"Hopefully we can qualify from the pool phase, then be able to go to the final. Please pray that we can get maximum results," he said.
The 2025 Thailand SEA Games will take place on December 9-20, 2025 in three major cities, namely Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla. A total of 50 sports will compete.
