Indonesia Open 2025: 8 Indonesian Representatives Have Qualified For The Second Round

Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, one of the eight Indonesian representatives who received tickets for the second round of the Indonesia Open 2025 (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA Eight Indonesian representatives have confirmed themselves to qualify for the second round of the Indonesia Open 2025 out of a total of 12 representatives who fought on the first day of the tournament.

The series of matches on the first day of the BWF Super 1000 level tournament took place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Most of Indonesia's representatives also competed from the total number of people playing in this event.

From the men's singles sector, Indonesia has secured two tickets, namely through Jonatan Christie and Alwi Farhan. Jonathan escaped after stopping Jia Heng Jason Teh from Singapore, while Alwi defeated the resistance of Prannoy HS from India.

There is still a possibility that Indonesia will get an additional ticket through Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo. The badminton player from Papua will only fight on the second day, Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

From the women's singles sector, Putri Kusuma Wardani survived the needle to secure the ticket to the second half. In this number, hope is still in Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi who will come down tomorrow.

The women's doubles as the most representatives in this tournament have three representatives who stepped into the next round. They are Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, Siti Sarah Azzahra/Agnia Sri Rahayu, and Apriyani Rahayu/Febi Setianingrum.

From this number, Meilysa Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Alllessya Rose experienced a different fate. They picked up the suitcase earlier because they lost in three games versus Hsieh Pei Shan/Hung En-Tzu from China Taipei.

On the second day, the women's doubles still have three representatives who will play. They are Arlya Nabila Thesa Manggaran/Az Zahra Ditya Ramadhani, Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, and Isyana Syahira Meida/Rinjani Kwinara Nastine.

Then in the men's doubles, the only ticket on the first day was secured by Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani. Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana failed to follow in their footsteps.

The mixed doubles sector has also only secured one ticket from three representatives who fought today. The only ticket was obtained by Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu.
