"I also want to convey my love for my parents, I know that I owe everything to them. I always believed I would make my dreams come true in Formula 1."
Mick became the third member of the Schumacher family to race in Formula 1 after his father, Michael and uncle Ralf, who won six of the 180 races between 1997 and 2007.
Meanwhile, Michael collected 91 Grand Prix championship trophies and is in second place in the list of riders with the most wins after Lewis Hamilton.

"I was with my father, I remember his reaction well," Mick recalled the moment when he told his father he wanted to be a racer.
"We were at the kart track at Kerpen, we talked and he asked me if racing was a hobby or something I wanted to take seriously," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I explained to him that it was very serious, and he and my mother always supported me in that decision."
When asked what advice his father gave, Mick detailed his father's words in the same interview.
"He told me that the most important thing is that I enjoy what I do," added Mick.
"Seeing me practice it was very important to him. 'If you like what you do, you will do well' is what he told me."
