Marc Marquez Equals Jorge Lorenzo And Dani Pedrosa's Record

JAKARTA Marc Marquez managed to match the record of his compatriot duo, Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa, after he won at the 2025 Qatar MotoGP last weekend.

The latest victory at the Lusail International Circuit makes Marquez now level with Lorenzo on the podium count list and Dani Pedrosa for the Grand Prix as a whole.

"Marquez currently collects 114 podiums in MotoGP, the same number that Lorenzo won. At the same time, he also recorded a 153rd victory in all classes, the same number as Pedrosa," wrote MotoGP.

Marquez then set a record as the most successful Spaniard to reach the podium in MotoGP class and all classes overtook Lorenzo and Pedrosa's record.

This assurance can be obtained by Marc Marquez if he is able to wipe out the results of the Spanish Grand Prix which will take place at the Jerez Circuit, Spain, on April 25-27, 2025.

"When the top three results in the next Sunday's race arrive, Marquez will also be the Spaniard with the highest achievement at the Grand Prix in terms of the podium," continued the MotoGP statement.

Marc Marquez is currently competing to be able to fight for the 2025 MotoGP title. If successful then he will match Valentino Rossi's seven titles in this class.

The 32-year-old racer is now at the top of the standings by winning a total of 123 points from the four Grand Prixs that have been completed.

Marquez is overshadowed by his younger brother Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing) who is in second place with a total of 106 points. Both were followed by two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia in third place.
