AC Milan Defender Kyle Walker Undergoes Patah Siku Operation

Kyle Walker has finished a broken elbow surgery and will miss AC Milan for a few weeks (Instagram/@kylewalker2).

JAKARTA - AC Milan defender Kyle Walker underwent surgery on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, local time, after suffering a broken right elbow.

Walker's recovery chronology was not disclosed, but the Rossoneri said the operation was successful and he would soon start rehabilitation.

"AC Milan can confirm that Kyle Walker broke his right elbow today."

"To ensure better healing and optimize recovery time, the player underwent surgery at Milan to repair Oleksranon through osteosynthesis."

"The operation is going according to plan. Kyle will start rehabilitation soon," AC Milan said in a statement.

The former Manchester City captain joined AC Milan on loan in January 2025, with the Italian club having the option to make the 34-year-old international player permanent.

Walker has appeared in 12 games for AC Milan in all competitions since his arrival.

Despite the less excited season in Serie A with the Rossoneri in ninth place in the standings, they remain in Coppa Italia and face rivals Inter Milan in the semi-final second leg on April 23, 2025 after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

Walker was sidelined with injury after he opened up the opportunity to return to Manchester City in the summer.

In a podcast with the BBC titled You'll Never Beat Kyle Walker, the defender talked about the days before he left Etihad and how 150 people came to his separation.

"However, after saying goodbye, Pep (Guardiola) stood up and spoke and conveyed a very good message to me, just saying thank you to everyone."

"But listen, it's not over yet. I'm just loaned here. I have to consider that so I can come back."

"Obviously, both sides must reach an agreement towards the end of the season. Listen, this chapter has not been completely closed, but we'll see what happens," he said.
