Beat Preston North End 3-0, Aston Villa Advances To FA Cup Semifinals

Aston Villa advanced to the FA Cup semifinals after beating Preston North End 3-0 in the quarter-finals at Deepdale Stadium, Preston, Saturday.

Aston Villa is the third team to ensure a place in the FA Cup semifinals after Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest were previously able to pass the quarter-finals.

Rashford managed to put Villa ahead when the game went 58 minutes after receiving a pass from Lucas Digne so the score changed to 1-0.

Villa had a golden opportunity to double their lead after being awarded a penalty for player Preston Andrew Hughes fouling in the box.

Rashford, who came forward as the executioner, successfully carried out his duties well after his shot could not be stopped by Cornell so the score changed to 2-0 in the 63rd minute.

Being able to lead by two goals made Villa even more excited to increase their lead and had a chance with Morgan Rogers's shot, but was still saved by Cornell.

Villa managed to add the lead to 3-0 in the 71st minute after Digne's measured pass converted into a goal through Jacob Ramsey's shot that broke into Preston's goal.

In the remaining time, Villa continued to play attacking games and tried to increase their advantage, but until the long whistle sounded, the score 3-0 remained.
