JAKARTA The Central Board of the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PP PBVSI) summoned as many as 25 female volleyball players to undergo a national training camp (pelatnas) for the 2025 U-21 World Championship preparation.

The summons was stated in letter Number 133/PP. PBVSI/III12025 on March 19, 2025. The letter was signed by the Secretary General of PBVSI, Heyzer Harsono.

"For players who are still participating in the 2025 Proliga competition, they will be given time to gather until the Proliga is over," Heyzer said in a statement received in Jakarta.

The Proliga competition this season will only be completed on May 11, 2025. Currently, the highest level league in Indonesia is on hiatus during Ramadan and will return on April 17, 2025.

Pelatnas plans to start on April 7, 2025 at the Police General Kunarto Volleyball Padepokan, Cituringgul, Babakan Madang, Sentul, Bogor Regency, West Java.

The U-21 Women's Volleyball World Championship or the FIVB Volleyball Women's U-21 World Championship 2025 is the 23rd edition. This year's edition will take place from 7-17 August 2025 in Surabaya, East Java.

Starting with this year's edition, the tournament will be attended by 24 teams, not 16 teams like the previous edition. This follows a decision taken by FIVB in June 2023.
