Tottenham Hotspur Vs. Bournemouth: The Lilywhites Wants To End The Curse Of Defeat To The Cherries

Tottenham Hotspur will try to end a streak of two consecutive defeats against Bournemouth in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 9 March.

After a narrow 0-1 defeat to AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, Spurs must rise soon, while Bournemouth comes with high confidence after reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Previously, Tottenham Hotspur suffered another crushing blow after losing to Manchester City 0-1 in the last league game. The defeat cut off their streak of three consecutive wins in the Premier League and further distanced them from the Champions League zone.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou is now facing a big challenge. Spurs have won just one of their last nine home games in the league, with six defeats among them. If they lose again, they will set a bad record with eight home defeats in one Premier League season for the first time.

On the other hand, Andoni Iraola's Bournemouth is in a positive trend in other competitions. They have just eliminated Wolves from the FA Cup on penalties, and despite losing their last two league games, The Cherries are still seventh.

Bournemouth also has a fairly impressive away record this season, with 10 Premier League games in a row always scoring goals in away matches. They also have the potential to make history by winning a double win over Spurs, having won 1-0 in the first meeting last December.

Spurs got good news with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero's return to the bench against AZ Alkmaar. However, some key players are still injured, including Dejan Kulusevski (leg injury), Richarlison (betis), and Radu Dragusin (lutut).

Major striker Dominic Solanke also suffered minor injuries in the Europa League match, but Postecoglou is optimistic he can perform, although most likely just as a substitute.
