Viking Strengthens Coordination To Prevent Members Crowding If Persib Is A Champion

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Viking Persib Club, Persib Bandung supporters group Herru Joko said that he strengthened coordination to prevent members from celebrating with crowds if the team nicknamed 'Maung Bandung' won the Menpora Cup 2021.

"Internally, we coordinate down to the branch level. In addition, we also coordinate with other stakeholders such as local governments," Herru said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday.

According to Herru, in a situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, all parties including supporters must refrain from violating health protocols and stick to the commitment to watch matches from home.

Dare to ignore the rules can have a negative impact on society at large. In addition, it is no less important, it can also close the possibility of the rolling of League 1 and League 2.

As is well known, the 2021 Menpora Cup is one of the Polri's references in granting crowd permits for the league.

If the pre-season tournament which takes place on March 21-April 25, 2021 goes well, especially from the aspect of the COVID-19 prevention health protocol, then there is a big possibility that the league can roll out. However, the opposite will happen if pandemic regulation is suppressed by risky actions such as creating crowds.

"Currently, health is the main thing. After all, everyone must remember and realize that the Menpora Cup is an example. If it goes well, the league can run again," said Herru.

Then, if the crowd still happens if Persib wins the Menpora Cup, Herru Joko hands it over to the police.

"We really hope the security," he said.

Persib and Persija met in the 2021 Menpora Cup final which was held in two legs, namely on Thursday, April 22 at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, and Sunday, April 25 at Manahan Stadium, Solo.

Persija advanced to the final round after beating PSM with a score of 4-3 in the semifinals, which also lasted two legs, on penalties.

Meanwhile, Persib beat PSS in the last four with a 3-2 aggregate.
