Fair Judge Officially Leads National Kormi 2024-2028, Targets 28 Million Community Sports Participants

Jakarta Adil Hakim was officially inaugurated as General Chair of the Indonesian Public Sports Committee (Kormi) for the period 2024-2028. The inauguration took place at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Friday, January 31, 2025 and was witnessed directly by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo.

There were also a number of figures, including Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky, Chairman of NOC Indonesia Raja Sapta Oktohari, representative of the Ministry of Tourism Ni Komang Ayu Astiti, Deputy Chair of the Organizational Sector of KONI Onniel Mamahit, as well as special envoys of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in the field of MSMEs and Creative Economy Ahmad Ridha Sabana.

In his first speech, Adil Hakim emphasized his commitment to expanding community participation in sports. According to him, of the 280 million Indonesians, currently only five percent are active in public sports or around 14 million people.

"My target is that community sports participation can reach 10 percent, or around 28 million people," said Adil Hakim.

He emphasized that Kormi has a strategic role in encouraging a healthy lifestyle in society. Through various programs, including the National Community Sports Festival (Fornas), Kormi wants to reach more individuals and communities.

One of the main focuses of the Judicial Management is the implementation of the VIII National Forum in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) in 2025. He promised that this event would be packaged better than the previous edition.

"We want all the Main Sports Organizations (Inorga) in Kormi to be able to maximize the NTB VIII National Forum later. This fornas is like PON in achievement sports, but specifically for public sports," he said.

Menpora Dito Ariotedjo assesses Kormi as a strategic partner of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in building a culture of community sports. He is optimistic that the leadership of Justice will bring new breakthroughs.

"This concern is not only about sports, but about making sure Indonesia is healthier and fitter. I am sure, Fornas VIII will be the best in history," said the Menpora.

Chairman of NOC Indonesia, Raja Sapta Oktohari, also encouraged Kormi to be active in international forums, especially in the TAFISA (The Association For International Sport for All) organization, which houses public sports at the global level.

"The community must follow international governance and actively discuss in TAFISA forums," said Raja Sapta.
