Europa League Drawing Playoff Results

JAKARTA - The draw or draw playoff for the knockout phase of the Europa League was completed at UEFA headquarters, Nyon, Switzerland, on Friday, January 31, 2025.

A total of 16 teams in ninth to 24 will struggle for the remaining eight slots to advance to the round of 16.

The Europa League format this season is the same as the Champions League. Likewise with the draw for the knockout phase playoff.

Eight bowls were prepared for the draw, with the ball containing the name of the seeded and unseeded team placed in a bowl marked according to the group's phase ranking.

The draw starts with a no-seeded team, placing each team from a pair of unseeded teams into one of the pre-determined positions in the bracket.

The draw started with a team ranked 23/24 and ended with a team ranked 17/18.

One ball is taken from a bowl containing two teams with relevant ratings. The first team drawn is placed in a place provided on the silver side of the bracket.

Then, the second team was placed on the orange side of the bracket. The same procedure is carried out with the remaining unseeded team.

The draw was continued with a leading team, starting with a pair ranked 15/16. The process is the same as explained above for the unseeded team, ending with a team ranked 9/10 to complete the pair for the knockout playoff.

The leading club plays the second leg at home. This means that the team is not ahead to get a share to host opponents first.

The knockout phase playoff match of the Europa League will be held in two legs, namely on 13 and 20 February 2025.
