JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali reviewed the implementation of health protocols for Indonesian NPC national athletes who were prepared for the Tokyo 2021 Paralympics event, at Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel, Solo, Sunday, April 18 afternoon.

During the visit accompanied by the President of the Indonesian NPC, Sheny Marbun, Menpora Amali responded well to the implementation of the health protocol that had been carried out during the National Training Program in Solo City.

"We monitor athletes prepared for the Japanese Paralympics with strict procedures. One room for one athlete and go to practice using one sport and one bus," said Menpora Amali quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Meanwhile, Sheny Marbun said that currently 15 athletes have passed the Olympic records. The Indonesian NPC is targeting 23-25 players to qualify for the 2021 Japan Paralympics.

"Our target is 1 gold from badminton. The hope is more than one gold," added Sheny.

Menpora Amali then said that every working visit to Solo he always took the time to review and motivate athletes who were fighting to make the nation and country proud.

"If I go to Solo, I will definitely take the time to see the National Team, because I want athletes to feel proud to be part of the struggle of the Indonesian nation," said the Menpora.

According to him, in the national sports grand design, the government targets 100 years of Indonesian independence, namely 2045. Indonesia itself is currently still following the bidding process to host the 2023 Olympics and Paralympics.

"We are targeting the achievements of Indonesian NPC athletes to enter the top five in the world by the 100th anniversary of Indonesia's independence. This is not just a number, but through scientific studies from discussions with NPCs," said the Menpora.
