Ensuring Health Protocols Run Well, Menpora Zainudin Amali Watch PS Sleman Versus Persib Semifinals

JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali together with PSSI Deputy Chairman Iwan Budianto directly watched the semifinal match between PS Sleman and Persib Bandung at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Yogjakarta. His arrival was done to ensure the implementation of health protocols went well there.

"I came to Yogjakarta to see the semifinal match between PS Sleman and Persib Bandung. I saw everything was going well, including the health protocols that had been done well," said Menpora Amali at a press conference before the match.

Menpora Amali hopes that the health protocol, which has been running well, must be maintained. Because according to him, the 2021 Menpora Cup pre-season is a test for the continuation of League 1 and League 2.

"I continue to monitor all matches, either through the house or directly to the stadium. And everything goes well, the success of this Menpora Cup will determine the fate of Liga 1 and Liga 2 later," he said.

Menpora Amali also conveyed that the continuation of League 1 and League 2 had indeed received a positive signal from President Jokowi. However, the Menpora will still study with PSSI and LIB for league 1 and league 2 issues later.

"I have reported the 2021 Menpora Cup net to President Jokowi, and the success of this pre-season will determine the continuation of League 1 and League 2. We will study with PSSI and BLI," added Menpora Amali.

After watching the match between PS Sleman vs Persib Bandung. Menpora Amali will also watch the semi-final match between Persija Jakarta and PSM Makassar at the Solo Manahan Stadium, Sunday, April 18.
