Proliga 2025: Yogya Falcons' Suffering Continues

JAKARTA The women's volleyball club Yogya Falcons suffered another defeat against Jakarta Popsivo Polwan In the second week of the 2025 Proliga First Round.

The duel between the two teams took place at GOR Tridharma Gresik, East Java, on Friday, January 10, 2025. Popsivo Polwan stopped the newcomer team with a landslide score of 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, and 25-19).

Popsivo immediately led 8-4 in the first set. Yogya Falcons coach, Marcos Sugiyama, took a time out to make the players more focused. However, the effort did not have much impact.

In the middle of the first set, Neliman Ozsoy's hard spike brought Popsivo further 16-8. The efforts of Sabana Altynbekova and her friends are getting worse by that big difference.

Yogya Falcons continued to fight back and had time to get closer to 13-14. Unfortunately, the appearance of Neriman Ozsoy and his colleagues is still too tough to beat.

This result worsened Yogya Falcons' records on the Proliga 2025 stage. Of the three matches they have played, none of them managed to win.

On the other hand, this victory made Jakarta Popsivo Polwan even more stable in the top position of the 2025 Proliga standings. They have not been defeated so far from the two matches that have been played.

Popsivo Polwan will continue to meet Jakarta Pertamina Enduro, while Yogya meets Gresik Petrokimia. This match was both held on Sunday, January 12, 2025.
