IBSC President Regrets PSSI's Attitude To Create ASPI

JAKARTA - The decision of the Chairman of PSSI, Erick Thohir, in forming the Indonesian Beach Football Association (ASPI) received a response from Hinca Pandjaitan.

As President of the Indonesia Beach Soccer Community (IBSC), Hinca deeply regrets Erick Thohir's attitude in establishing ASPI without confirming and consolidating with the IBSC.

"We regret PSSI's decision to form and strengthen ASPI without confirmation and consolidation with the IBSC first."

"However, we have existed with beach football for a long time with communities in the regions," Hinca said in a release received Thursday, November 21, 2024.

According to Hinca, the existence of ASPI has made the management of beach football overlap.

You see, so far IBSC has been actively fostering and carrying out activities with communities in various regions.

Not only that, but IBSC has also successfully held a number of championships in South Lampung, East Nusa Tenggara, and Jakarta.

"We hope that in the near future there will be a way out or sitting together to talk about this."

"The problem is, so far we have been affiliated with Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) and other institutions," said Hinca.

As is known, the chairman of PSSI recently inaugurated the ASPI board for the period 2024-2028 on Monday, November 18, 2024, in Jakarta. At that moment, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo was entrusted as the General Chair of ASPI.

Erick Thohir previously carried out total consolidation with all stakeholders related to football. The goal is to bring the Garuda Team globally.

"ASPI stole our ideas from the community that we have been running with IBSC. PSSI should also coordinate with us because so far only IBSC has focused on various activities or beach football tournaments," said Hinca again.
