Conmebol Zone 2026 World Cup Qualification Results: Brazil And Colombia Slumped

Brazil's standings have slumped in the 2026 Conmebol Zone (doc. FIFA) World Cup Qualifiers.

JAKARTA - The 2026 Conmebol Zone (South America) World Cup qualification plays matchday 11 (14 November 2024) and matchday 12 (19 November 2024).

The results of the two matchdays made the competition even more interesting. Two big teams, Brazil and Colombia, failed to get maximum points so that their position slumped.

Colombia, who was originally in second place in the standings before matchday 11, slumped to the fourth stairs.

Ecuador, who was fifth before the last two matches, pushed into the third stairs, behind Argentina and Uruguay.

In addition to winning against Colombia, Ecuador also scored three points at home to Bolivia (4-0). The six additional points made them skyrocket.

Meanwhile, leaders of the Argentine standings actually run two 2026 World Cup Qualifiers not good enough.

Tango's team only packed three points from one win and one defeat. Argentina won against Peru (1-0) and lost to Paraguay (1-2).

Argentina now packs 25 points from 12 matches that have been played. Uruguay stuck to the Tango Team with 20 points after getting four points from the final two matches.

Despite changes in the standings, the top six clubs that entered the zone qualified directly for the 2026 World Cup finals remained unchanged.

Then, in the ranks of the four lowest teams, Bolivia and Venezuela, which are in seventh and eighth positions, they begin to approach the top six.

Bolivia remains four points clear of Paraguay who fills the final position on the live pass. Venezuela is five points clear of Paraguay.
